PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Project Need

A multi-party Greenfield project needed a defined BIM coordination framework, so participating organizations could work from common requirements, aligned model information, and a reliable digital process. Model alignment and coordinates were a primary submission challenge.

OAR'S SCOPE

A defined BIM coordination framework for a multi-party project

OAR established a BIM coordination framework for a Greenfield recycling facility using a BEP, ACC, model federation, Bridge, clash review, and training.

OAR'S SCOPE

Governance, project environment, model federation, data sharing, and training

01

BIM Execution Plan

GOALS · RESPONSIBILITIES · STANDARDS · WORKFLOWS · DELIVERABLES

OAR developed the project BIM Execution Plan to define BIM goals, responsibilities, information standards, workflows, and required deliverables that were distributed to all project partners as a requirement of the project.

02

Autodesk Construction Cloud Setup

DATA MANAGEMENT · MODEL COORDINATION

OAR configured Autodesk Construction Cloud using Data Management and Model Coordination to support project information and model coordination workflows.

03

Model Federation and Initial Clash Review

NAVISWORKS · INITIAL CLASH-DETECTION ROUND

OAR federated project models in Navisworks and completed an initial clash-detection round, with coordination information managed through the project environment.

04

ACC Bridge and Data Sharing

ACC BRIDGE · CROSS-ENVIRONMENT SHARING

ACC Bridge was used to transfer and share information between project environments managed by different organizations.

05

Export and Upload Guide

HOW · WHAT · WHEN TO SHARE

OAR prepared a guide defining how, what, and when contributing parties were expected to share project data.

06

Training

BIM / ACC TRAINING

OAR provided BIM/ACC training to ownership staff (the client) as part of the implementation.

PROJECT USE

How the Deliverable Was Used

The framework established shared BIM requirements, a common project environment, and a defined model-sharing process for the participating organizations. It also provided a structured way to address alignment and coordinate issues during model submission and federation.

PROJECT CONTEXT

What This Workflow Demonstrates

This project demonstrates how BIM implementation can begin with governance and information structure: a BEP, defined data-sharing rules, aligned model requirements, a configured CDE, and an initial coordination process that multiple organizations can follow.
